iCI CCM Extractor - No Post Processor or Dataloader phases

Hi Experts

 

Related to the previous discussion on the installation number for the iCI CCM Extractor, even if the installation is correct, I do not get any data in the 0SM_ESRSG cube even though records are returned from the extractor.

This, I believe, is because there are no phases for the Post Processor or Data loader

When I backtrack to when the extractor was failing due to an invalid interruption in database activity error, the phases are there. The only change made is the application of note number 2120133 to address this.

This was why I deleted and recreated the extractor previously, only to find it failing with the wrong installation number.

 

Is there a way to check for the execution of the post processor and data loader and trigger it, or can it be done manually if it fails?

How to enable the ATC in the Solman

Hi All,

 

Currently i am working in ATC setup in Solution manager, I have checked the below blogs for the same.

 

Getting Started with the ABAP Test Cockpit for QMs and Admins

 

 

Completed the CCLM setup for required managed systems and activated ATC extractor.

 

I have below quires to push the ATC details option

 

1. Whether i need to execute the ATC t.code in Solution manager system or managed system or both.

2.  Which System ID is need to maintain in the master system

3. What is the RFC ( TMW or Trusted or needs to created new RFC)

4. How to pull the ATC data to solution manager.

    Whetehr i need to execute the belwo transfer setup in Solution manager or managed system or both

Please provide some idea for the above setup.

Active implementation of BADI TRIP_POST_FI is not triggering.

Hi Experts

 

I implemented badi TRIP_POST_FI .

I provided the filter value , wrote custom code in MODIFY_PTRV_DOC_IT method as per requirement and activated the implementation.

now when I am posting my document via T-code PRRW this implementation is not called.

 

For checking if BADI implementation is called or not I am creating debugger break point in modified method.

system is not stopping at break point .is there any other way to check?

 

Can you help me understand why this implementation is not getting called.

Extractor Framework: Custom Code Library Extractor (new) and City Extractor dumps

Hello,

we are currently in Setup phase of CCLM after SP12 Upgrade and have also implemented all proposed notes from RTCCTOOL. After activating the cubes and step 6 of solman_setup our Custom Code Library Extractor and the Custom Code City Extractor are Dumping with the follwing error:

 

Custom Code Library Extractor (new): "Error occurred"

Custom Code City Extractor: "No Custom Code Objects fournd for SYSID in CCLM"

We want to perform Setup for 3 System Landscapes for the first trial. We also had the Version of previously ServicePacks up and running.

 

Can you give me a hint? I did not find this error description in the Custom Code Management Roadmap for SP12+.

Pre-requisites to configure CCLM on solman 7.1 sp12

Custom Code Management

Hello everyone!!!!

 

I am trying to configure  CCM using solman(SS1) for R/3 system(RS1).During configuration process i do have some errors.Could someone help me out.

 

1) In the step 6.2 i am unable to activate SQLM extractor(error:SQLM extractor template does not exist). Rest of the extractors(CC Gen,CC Ref,UPL,CCLM,CC Similarity,ATC) are activated Successfully.

 

2)How to check activated extractors are functioning good?

 

3)In the step 7.2 SM_CCL:LUSG_XX_XXXX and SM_CCL_QUAL_XX_XXXX Jobs failed(Error: SM_CCL:LUSG_XX_XXXX was aborted ) same error with QUAL.

From  the job log reason for job failure for QUAL  is "No Data found in Custom Objects InfoCube (0SM_ATC) for system XXX"  and for LUSG is " No Data found in Custom Objects InfoCube (0SM_UPL) for system XXX".

 

4)In the step 8.4 even though i scheduled the job "SM:AGS_CC_BUSI_CRIT_XXX" it is still showing Gray symbol instead of green.

 

5)  From my knowledge we need to configure ATC on RS1. if that rite,what would be the values in "master system". and how to cross check ATC configuration is successful.

 

Actually all ATC,CCLM,SQLM,UPL cubes are active on my SS1 system.

I am working on CCLM and i configured CCM for three systems in our landscape(BD3,RD3,CD3) ,but in the city model(right side top corner) in the systems i am able to see only one(BD3) system.

could someone help me out to fix this.

Scope and Effort Analysis failed due to Similarity Data is too old

Hi All,

 

I am trying to generate Scope and Effort Analysis Report for EhP deployment of an ERP system. However, the analysis failed; in the Processing Log, the step "Provide Similarity (Clone Finder) data"  shows "Similarity Data is too old".

 

What should I do in this situation? Is there any possibility to bypass this step?

CCLM doesn't take into account my system data ?

Hi all,

 

I try to configure the CCLM tool on our Solman (7.1 SP12).

 

In order to display the Quality measures IN CCLM, i've activated ATC tool.

My current active run contains several errors, but in CCLM tool I only the last active run (with only 1 error).

All extractors are correctly set-up.

Why CCLM doesn't take into account the ATC result ?

As you can see, i've also problem with Custom Code counter (at the left top of the screen).

 

Last question about Criticality health factor. Extractor generates an error :

UPL Aggregate and Housekeeping process

Hi Everybody,

I´m getting stuck with Solman Housekeeping process because I´m not able to get UPL Infocube aggregated into 0SM_UPL_W.

 

The thing is every day when I check E2E BI HOUSEKEEPING job log, I see UPL housekeeping can´t finish because the system is unable to handle a huge amount of entries. However,  Deletion phase seems to delete data from source info cube (UPL) .

Aggregation process generates a corresponding dump in the system in which I can check the problem was because of memory space (TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED)

 

I went deep into the dump and it seems the system can´t handle about 300000 entries of an internal table what brings to me a question:

 

Were the process of Housekeeping built so the system can get through a huge amount of data from UPL recordings?

Is there any trick to push the whole UPL date into Aggregation Infocubes (0SM_UPL_W 0SM_UPL_M or 0SM_UPL_Y)?

There is no app which can be added to this dashboard

Hi All,

 

When i am trying to add Custom Code App in solution manager, i get an error 'There is no app which can be added to this dashboard'. I could not find any info on how to fix this error.

Does you have any idea on this error?

Workaround for GAP in UPL Data

Hi

 

The response by Alexander looks to be the long term solution for my issue but I'm just wondering that for a short term workaround to enable the extraction of data, that the job and program /SDF/UPL_PERIODIC_EXTRACTOR could be triggered to enable the purge of the /SDF/UPL_LOG entries.  Recently this job has been failing due an unknown variant (not sure if this was to do with the SP12 upgrade or not) and therefore I have removed the variant.

 

I'll check the rerun of the job tomorrow and see if my issue goes away as a result but if anyone has any thoughts on the subject in the meantime, please jump right in!

UPL Activated in Managed Systems - Now What?

Hi All,

 

First post for me in the UPL SCN. I believe I have correctly activated UPL data collection in our managed ABAP Systems. (Followed this link to do so: https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/~sapidb1000358700000427102012E)

 

I can run the sa38 report /SDF/UPL_CONTROL and it shows that is in on and working. Also report /SDF/SHOW_UPL will show me a bunch of returned data when I click execute. (these are being ran on the abap systems themselves).

 

My question is, now what? Where do I go inside solution manager to begin seeing if this data is being stored in the SolMan BW? Any insight, work center locations, reports or anything else will help.

CDMC statistic collection activation - UPL deactivated error

Hi,

 

I am trying to activate the statistic collection in CDMC for my staging system through Solman, but one of my system showing below error " UPL Deactivated" .

So i am trying to activate the UPL from CCLM setup in solution manager, but UPL & ATC option are greyed out.

Also i checked the  note1922412  UPL extractor flag fix for this fix, but this note shows " Cannot be implemented" status.

 

Currently i am using SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP12 version.

SEA analysis failed - no custom code data 0SM_CCLG

Hello,

 

We are launching SEA analysis on our solution maanger system in order to analyze upgrade impact of ECC system.

Nevertheless, the analysis always failed in error as you can see below:

In SLG1 we have the following error:

We checked in SOLMAN_SETUP -> Custom Code Management part -> activity 6.2 Activate Extractors -> CC GEN extractor already activated for development system BOD.


We also checked in workcenter “SAP Solution Manager Administration” -> Infrastructure -> the corresponding extractor is “Custom Code Object Extractor” and is active:

In RSA1, the infocube 0SM_CCLG has data.

 

Issue: the data are collected in infocube, extractor is activated and SEA analysis is in error. Each time we have this issue we re-activate extractor framework as shown and when extractor has terminated we launch again SEA analysis and then it works, we do not have issue anymore.

The problem is that if the day after we want to launch a new SEA analysis, it will be stopped with the same error and we will have to re-activate extractor again, which is not the expected behavior as data are already collected and should be there for new analysis without having to manually re-activate extractors.


Does anyone already encountered this kinf of issue?

Benchmark about Customer code Cost and Customer code Obsolescence

Do anyone have a Benchmark or personal statistics about customer code cost? (how much the
Custom Code cost to be build and maintain over the years including upgrade cost)

Do anyone have a Benchmark about how the customer code is getting obsolete over the time? For instance
how many z-code become obsolete over the year; 10% per year 30% after each
upgrade??.

 

Any information that you can share could be useful to me.

Custom Code Decommissioning "Delete Transport" not working

Hello,

 

I am working on Custom Code Decommissioning on SP12.

I have created a new analysis and get the object list.

Then I tried to backup transport one object before deleting the transport.

Once backed up, the object status changed to "Backed up".

Then I click on "delete transport" and I get the following error message:

I already have backed up my object as it is saved in a transport (transport of copies). I also tried to release the transport of copy and then click again on "delete transport" but same message appears.

I would like to back up my object in a transports and then being able to decommission/delete this object.

Do you have any ideas or tips on how I can do that?
